Ramzan Kadyrov’s son who beat defenseless prisoner to oversee Chechen battalion

Source: Meduza

Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen Governor Ramzan Kadyrov, has been appointed as overseer of a new Chechen rifle battalion. State Duma Deputy Adam Delimkhanov wrote that the step was “a logical result of Adam's significant contributions in upholding our people's religious, familial, and cultural values.”

The battalion is part of the Russian Defense Ministry and is commanded by Ruslan Geremeev, who is suspected to be involved in Boris Nemtsov’s murder.

At the end of September, Ramzan Kadyrov posted a video of Adam assaulting defenseless prisoner Nikita Zhuravel, writing that he was proud of his son. Zhuravel was accused of burning a Quran. Since the assault, Adam Kadyrov, who turned 16 on November 24, has been given the Hero of Chechnya title as well as numerous other awards.
