Russian authorities report first attempted drone attack in Volgograd region

Volgograd Governor Andrey Bocharov has reported that on Wednesday night, a drone was “intercepted and neutralized” in the region. The incident is the first known drone attack attempt in the Volgograd region since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the independent outlet TV Rain noted.
According to the Telegram channel Baza, the drone attacked a military base in the region’s Gorodishche district. The channel Shot wrote that the aircraft was intercepted while approaching its target. Bocharov reported that nobody was injured and no buildings were damaged.
