Russian authorities report attempted drone attacks on Kursk and Belgorod regions

Two Ukrainian drones were neutralized in Russia’s Kursk region, reported the region’s governor Roman Starovoyt.

According to the governor, the incident occurred on September 3 near the border towns of Kozino and Gornal.

Starovoyt said both drones were detected with electronic warfare systems and were hit by anti-drone guns. The governor reported no casualties or damage.

Earlier, Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that missile defense systems were activated and that they shot down one drone in the region on September 3. No information was provided about casualties or damage.

Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed the drone attack on the Belgorod region.
