Ukraine declares waters of Russia’s Black Sea ports as military threat zones
Ukraine has declared the waters of six Russian ports on the Black Sea to be zones of military threat, according to a warning issued on August 4, writes Economichna Pravda. This warning applies to the internal and external waters of the Russian ports of Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Tuapse, Sochi, and Taman.
After the Russian authorities announced that they were exiting the grain deal, Russia’s Defense Ministry that ships heading to Ukrainian ports will be considered potential military carriers and that the vessels’ flag states “will be considered involved in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Kyiv regime.” The next day, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said ships traveling to Black Sea ports in Russia or Russian-occupied territories will be considered military carriers.
