Landmine kills four border village residents in Russia's Belgorod region

A car exploded after detonating a landmine in Zhuravlevka, a village in Russia’s Belgorod region, according to multiple Russian Telegram channels. The blast reportedly killed four people.

The channel 112 reported that the vehicle’s passengers were local residents who decided to take a shortcut through a field while on their way to go fishing. According to the channel Mash, the victims included three men and one woman.

The Russian authorities have not confirmed the reports.

Zhuravlevka is located near Russia’s border with Ukraine.
