Russia launches massive attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure

Russia launched missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s energy system on Thursday morning. Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said the strikes targeted energy infrastructure across the country. Due to the strikes, the state energy company Ukrenergo implemented temporary power outages.

The attack targeted Ukraine’s Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Volyn regions, among others, with explosions also reported in Rivne, according to Suspilne.
