Yulia Navalnaya thanked the thousands of people who are still coming to pay their respects at her late husband Alexey Navalny’s grave.

“Many wonder why Alexey fought so fiercely and never gave up. For your sake. For the wonderful, brave, and honest people who are now coming in an endless line to bid him farewell. Thank you. This is what real love of the people looks like,” Navalnaya wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

She attached a video showing the line at Moscow’s Borisovskoye Cemetery, where Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny was buried on March 1. White Counter calculated that no fewer than 16,500 people came to Navalny’s funeral and burial. Mourners continue to come to lay flowers at his grave.

People in Russia need us more than ever now. Help us to continue our work.
