Navalny associates say they’ve been unable to find venue willing to host memorial service
Alexey Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh said Tuesday that the politician’s team has so far been unable to find a facility willing to hold Navalny’s funeral.
“Some of them say that the venue is already booked. Some of them refuse when we mention the name Navalny. One place told us directly that funeral agencies have been prohibited from working with us,” Yarmysh wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
On Monday, Yarmysh reported that Navalny’s associates were searching for a location for a public memorial service to be held “at the end of this week.” She asked anybody who has a suitable venue to reach out to the team.
