Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny’s associates have still not confirmed reports that the politician died in prison, says his press secretary, Kira Yarmysh.
The Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is spreading news of Alexey Navalny’s death in Correctional Facility No. 3. We currently have no confirmation of this. Alexey’s lawyer is now flying to Kharp. As soon as we have some information, we will share it.
Navalny died on February 16 in Correctional Facility No. 3 in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug where he was being held.
