Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov comments on Navalny’s death

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on reports that Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny has died, said that Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service is conducting all necessary investigations.
Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had been informed of Navalny’s death.
According to Peskov, he has no further information on the cause of death, adding that “doctors should determine” it.
Navalny died on February 16 in Correctional Facility No. 3 in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug where he was being held.
