Russia’s Ministry of Defense reports that air defense systems in the annexed Crimea intercepted 11 Ukrainian combat drones on the night of September 14. The agency once again described the attack as an act of terrorism, reporting that it took place around 5:30 a.m. local time.

In Yevpatoria, locals heard the sounds of explosions in the night. Remnants of at least one UAV crashed in the residents’ yards.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also reportedly tried to attack the Russian patrol ship Sergey Kotov in the Black Sea. According to the Russian side, the ship resisted the attack, disabling five Ukrainian naval drones.

In addition, six drones were shot down overnight by air defense systems in Russia’s Bryansk region.

Also on the night of September 14, Russia attacked Ukraine with several groups of Shahed kamikaze drones. According to Ukrainian Air Force command, UAVs were launched from three directions at once, flying out of Crimea, Yeysk in Russia’s Krasnodar region, and also from Kursk.

A total of 22 UAVs were launched towards Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Sumy regions of Ukraine. Seventeen of them were downed by Ukrainian air defense systems.
