Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that there was an attempted drone attack on the morning of August 6.

Russia’s Defense Ministry also said that the drone had been destroyed. According to the Ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces intended to attack targets in the Moscow region using a drone, but it was destroyed by air defense systems in the Podolsky district. The Defense Ministry said that there was no damage and no one was injured.

Earlier, the press service for the Vnukovo International Airport announced that its airspace was temporarily closed and that there were restrictions on arriving and departing flights.
