The Kremlin is not following the movements of Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, says Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

“No, we aren’t keeping track of his movements, we have neither the ability, nor the desire to do so,” he said, responding to a related question and a request from journalists to comment on Alexander Lukashenko’s statement that Prigozhin was not in Belarus.

Asked whether Prigozhin’s departure to Belarus was one of the conditions for ending the June 23-24 armed insurgency, Peskov said: “This was discussed, you know that we talked about it, Alexander Grigorievich [Lukashenko] talked about it too.”

In response to another question about whether a decision had been made regarding Prigozhin’s whereabouts, Peskov said, “I will leave that without comment. I’ll take you back to June 24. You remember Alexander Grigorievich’s rather detailed story. We also made a statement. All of this, in fact, retains its relevance. I have nothing new to add on this topic.”
