Ukrainian woman detained in Moscow after trying to bring back children deported to Russia
A Ukrainian woman who came to Russia “on the orders of the Save Ukraine foundation” was detained in Moscow, reports Russian state news agency RIA Novosti. One of the news agency’s sources claims that the Save Ukraine foundation works with Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and that the detainee arrived in Russia to bring back orphans who had been deported from the occupied territories.
RIA Novosti also published a video which shows the woman introducing herself and saying that she came to Russia in order to gain custody of two minors from Ukraine’s Kherson region and take them to Germany. The woman was reportedly later deported from Russia. The Save Ukraine foundation said that the two children were her godson and his brother.
