Belarus reportedly constructing anti-tank fortifications near border with Ukraine

Source: Meduza

The monitoring group Belaruski Gayun has discovered defensive structures being constructed in the Gomel region of Belarus. Construction equipment was visible near the exit from the village of Kalinino. Next to the equipment, a line of “dragon’s teeth” anti-tank barriers had already been installed. The fortifications are located approximately 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from the border with Ukraine.

The reason for installing the fortifications on Belarusian territory is not known. It’s possible that their construction is connected to territorial defense exercises currently taking place in Gomel, writes Belaruski Gayun.
