A Pantsir missile system has been spotted opposite Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, where Vladimir Putin spoke today, as part of a patriotic rally commemorating a year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. TV Rain has published a video of the air defense installation near the Moscow State University building.

In conversation with TV Rain, Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) founder Ruslan Leviev confirmed that the installation captured on video is a Pantsir-S1 air defense system.

In addition, two military trucks have been spotted in the vicinity. Military experts speculate that these might contain radio-electronic suppression systems.

CIT’s Ruslan Leviev points out that anti-aircraft systems have already been installed near Putin’s Novo-Ogarevo residence, in the Kremlin, and on top of the Defense Ministry building. He thinks that air defense installations are becoming a routine security practice in the Russian government.

Earlier, a Pantsir anti-aircraft system was spotted near Vladimir Putin’s Valdai residence.
