Anti-aircraft system reportedly installed near Putin’s official residence in Valdai
A Pantsir anti-aircraft system appears to have been installed just six kilometers (less than four miles) from Vladimir Putin’s official residence in Valdai, a town in Russia’s Novgorod region, a local resident told the independent news outlet Agentstvo.
According to the resident, who provided a photo of the purported new defense system, it first appeared several weeks ago. Other residents corroborated the reports; one person said the complex is “on combat alert,” and that at least three soldiers are stationed on the site at all times.
