A fire broke out in a barracks in the town of Sovietske, in Crimea, according to Telegram channels that cover events on the peninsula.

The pro-Russian channel Krymsky cites a source in the Crimean government and reports two people dead; around 200 soldiers were allegedly relocated after the fire. According to that report, the cause of the blaze was “careless handling of fire.”

The channel Krymsky Veter, which supports Ukraine, claims that barracks housed mobilized Russian soldiers.
