The Russian army continues its offensive on the Kramatorsk front, where Ukraine’s 24th Mechanized Brigade is holding the line. Soldiers from the brigade are fighting in Chasiv Yar, a city that Russian forces have yet to bring fully under their control. “The enemy still hasn’t managed to establish a steady crossing for equipment over the canal,” said Andriy Polukhin, a spokesperson for the brigade. “They’re getting bogged down in urban combat, and there is no sign of rapid advances.” Meduza shares photos of soldiers from the 24th Brigade at their positions near Kramatorsk. The images were taken on February 24, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
