Ukrainian drones attack Russia’s Saratov, damaging homes and injuring 10
Ukrainian military drones struck Saratov overnight on September 8, Saratov Governor Roman Busargin said.
Busargin said several buildings were damaged and 10 people were injured, including three children. Six of them were hospitalized. A “temporary relocation center has been opened” for residents, he added, though he gave no further details.
The Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ reported that the drones struck the Saratov oil refinery, which has been repeatedly targeted in the past. They also said an attack hit a military airfield in Engels, Saratov region, which Ukrainian forces have tried to strike more than once.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on the morning of September 8 that its forces had shot down 384 Ukrainian drones overnight over Russian territory and occupied Crimea.
