Russia to extend gasoline export ban until end of year
Russia will extend its ban on gasoline exports until the end of 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, according to the Russian state news agency TASS.
“On the gasoline export ban, we also decided at the headquarters meeting to extend it for both producers and non-producers. That is, it will be extended until the end of the year,” Novak said.
Novak added that authorities would lift the diesel export ban “as the market recovers,” to keep refineries from struggling with oversupply and reduced processing volumes.
The Russian government banned gasoline exports starting April 1, 2026, a measure set to remain in effect until July 31.
