Reuters: Moscow oil refinery to remain offline until at least end of 2026 after drone strikes

Source: Meduza

The Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya will be offline until at least the end of 2026 following Ukrainian drone strikes, two sources told the Reuters news agency. “It will take at least half a year to repair,” one source said.

Ukrainian drones struck the refinery twice within a month — on June 16 and June 18 — knocking out both primary oil processing units in succession.

The Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya is one of the largest oil processing facilities in the country. It is a key fuel supplier for Moscow and the Moscow Region.
