Update: About 40 minutes after the outage began, Starlink users reported that the satellite communication system was back online.

The Starlink satellite communications system went down on Monday morning, according to data from the monitoring service Downdetector. Users around the world reported outages.

The system also stopped working in Ukraine, said Robert Brovdi, widely known by his call sign “Madyar,” who commands the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces. According to him, Starlink “went down again across the entire front.”

The previous major outage occurred on July 24, when Starlink went offline in several countries. At the time, Ukrainian officials also reported connection problems.

Starlink is a global satellite system launched in 2019 by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, designed to provide high-speed Internet in areas with unreliable or expensive connectivity. The Ukrainian military has relied heavily on Starlink since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
