The Ukrainian military targeted multiple Russian regions, including the Moscow region, in a major drone attack on Tuesday night, according to local officials.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said Russian air defenses intercepted 33 drones approaching the capital. One drone struck the Elma technopark in the suburb of Zelenograd, where eyewitness footage shows damaged doors and ceilings. According to the Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Novosti, a car parked nearby caught on fire and was left completely burned out. Sobyanin reported "no serious injuries or major damage."

Elsewhere in the Moscow region, air defenses shot down 42 drones across 12 municipalities, Governor Andrey Vorobyov said. In the town of Chekhov, three residential buildings were damaged, but no casualties were reported.

Russian authorities reported drone attacks in other regions as well. In the Bryansk region, Governor Alexander Bogomaz said Russian forces downed at least 59 drones. In Bryansk city’s Fokinsky district, he stated, three apartments, several commercial buildings, and multiple vehicles were damaged.

Authorities in the Smolensk region reported the downing of 11 drones. Fifteen were shot down in the Kaluga region, and 13 in the Tula region. No damage or casualties were reported in those areas.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency temporarily closed Moscow’s airspace to all aircraft during the night.
