Kremlin says it’s too early to say when next Trump–Putin meeting will occur

It’s too soon to tell when the next meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will take place, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

“It’s currently impossible to talk about a timeframe because there are no indications at all. If the presidents decide to meet, preparations will of course take place within the timeframe they set themselves,” he told journalists.

Peskov noted that Moscow and Washington are now “in the process of reviving bilateral relations and restoring various dialogue mechanisms at different levels.”

Earlier on Monday, Reuters reported that Trump said he will speak to Putin by phone on Tuesday.
