Power has gone out in the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, according to Yevgeny Balitsky, the head of the occupying administration. Balitsky said the outage was caused by damage to a power transmission line.

Critical infrastructure has been connected to backup power sources, and repair work is underway, with electricity expected to be restored soon, he added.

The Kremlin-appointed administration of the occupied Kherson region also reported power outages.

Ukrainian media, citing local social media channels, report that the entire occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region is without electricity. Residents have also reported disruptions to the centralized water supply.
