Ukraine’s Air Force reports record drone numbers in overnight Russian attack

Russian forces launched 188 drones and four Iskander ballistic missiles at Ukraine during the night, the Ukrainian Air Force reported, calling the number of drones a record.

Ukrainian air defenses shot down 76 drones across the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. Another 95 drones went off radar, while five reportedly headed toward Belarus, the Air Force said.

The drone attacks damaged homes and apartment buildings in several regions. In the Ternopil region, a critical infrastructure facility was also damaged, leading to unstable power supplies in the city and nearby areas, the regional administration said.

No casualties or injuries were reported, according to preliminary information.
