Police in Russia’s Bryansk region stopped a car that was sought in connection with Friday’s terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue, reports the Telegram channels Baza and Ostorozhno, Novosti. Official sources have not confirmed this information.

According to Baza, the car carrying the suspects was stopped near the village of Teplyi. Preliminary reports indicate there were six individuals in the car, two of whom were arrested, while the others escaped. Baza notes that the individuals taken into custody are reportedly citizens of Tajikistan.

Russian State Duma Deputy Alexander Khinshtein wrote that the car was spotted during the night, prompting a police chase. According to him, the car overturned during the chase, and all but one of the suspects fled into the forest. Two men were apprehended, and the search for the others continues. Khinshtein added that weapons and Tajik passports were found in the car.

Earlier, Russian media reported that the authorities were searching for a white Renault believed to have been used by the suspects to flee the scene. There were also reports that police were looking for a gray Renault.

Ostorozhno, Novosti published photos of individuals who were allegedly traveling in the car.
