An explosion occurred in a five-story residential building in the northeast of St. Petersburg on Saturday. The local publication Fontanka reports that the explosion was caused by a drone. The Telegram channels Baza and 112 wrote that the drone crashed into the building.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, debris from the drone fell on the building, damaging at least five apartments. Videos show damaged balconies and windows.

Shot and Mash wrote that the drone was possibly targeting an oil depot located less than a kilometer from the building.

St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov reported that there were no victims in the “incident.” “Residents of the affected apartments have been evacuated,” he said. He made no mention of a drone.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented.
