Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) hit a concentration of Russian troops in Ukraine’s Kherson region using HIMARS rocket launchers. Videos of the strike were posted on Ukrainian social media accounts late on Wednesday.

The AFU confirmed the attack. Natalia Gumenyuk, the spokesperson for Ukraine's Defense Forces South, said that “at least 60 invaders will certainly not return to combat positions.”

According to the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState, the target was a training ground near the village of Podo-Kalynivka in the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine’s Kherson region.

A source in Ukraine’s special services confirmed to BBC News Russian that the strike was near Podo-Kalynivka.

The Ukrainian publication Dzerkalo Tyzhnia wrote that three Russian army units were conducting joint exercises at the training ground and that military commanders were planning to come for an inspection.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has not commented on the strike.
