Putin reportedly to address Russia’s Federal Assembly on February 29

Source: Meduza

Vladimir Putin will most likely address Russia’s Federal Assembly on February 29, reports Vedomosti, citing several sources close to Putin’s administration and a source from the state television channel broadcasting the address.

One source emphasized that the date may still be adjusted, depending on Putin’s schedule. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not respond to the publication’s request for comment.

While various government agencies and administration members are involved in preparing the speech, sources say presidential aid Maxim Oreshkin, the former economic development minister, is overseeing the main part.

According to Kommersant, the address to lawmakers will be part of Putin’s reelection campaign.
