At least two people injured after Russia’s Belgorod comes under fire
Update: Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that Russian air defenses shot down five aerial targets on approach to Belgorod during a second attack around 7:50 p.m. local time. According to preliminary information, no one was injured. Several houses and an apartment building were reportedly damaged.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that Belgorod was attacked by rockets from a RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher at around 4:30 p.m. local time. The ministry said that Ukraine was responsible for the attack.
According to the ministry, Russian air defenses destroyed seven rockets launched from the RM-70 Vampire.
Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that seven aerial targets were shot down on approach to Belgorod. According to preliminary information, two people were injured.
According to Gladkov, two residential buildings and 15 vehicles were damaged. The governor also reported damage to an industrial enterprise.
A truck was also hit in the attack, injuring the driver.
Several Telegram channels reported that a car hit a boy who ran across the road on a red light to seek shelter after hearing explosions.
