Navalny sent to punitive isolation cell for 26th time since imprisonment

Jailed opposition politician Alexey Navalny has been sent to a punitive isolation cell (ShIZO) for the 26th time since his imprisonment, according to his press secretary, Kira Yarmysh.

As per her information, Navalny was sentenced to 10 days in a ShIZO and has been there since February 1. In total, he will have spent 293 days there since his imprisonment, Yarmysh wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The prison authorities’ reason for sending him to the cell is not currently specified.
