A criminal case has been initiated against Sergey Udaltsov, the coordinator of the Left Front movement in Russia, for “justifying terrorism,” reports RIA Novosti, citing a source in law enforcement. The source did not specify the exact reason for the case.

Udaltsov’s lawyer confirmed the case and said that Udaltsov’s apartment had been searched.

Earlier, the Telegram channel 112 reported that Udaltsov was taken to Russia’s Investigative Committee for questioning. According to 112, the case is related to a post on Udaltsov’s Telegram channel.

On Thursday morning, Udaltsov wrote that people claiming to be police officers were knocking on his door. Since then, there have been no new posts on his channel.
