Russian missile attack on Donetsk region kills 11, including five children

Russian shelling of the Donetsk region’s Pokrovsk district has left 11 people dead and eight people injured, according to the head of the region’s military administration Vadim Filashkin.

According to Filashkin, Russia launched S-300 missiles at the Pokrovsk district on January 6. The attack hit the city of Pokrovsk and the village of Rivne, located approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) northwest of annexed Donetsk.

Filashkin said that shelling hit a house in Rivne where a family of six were reportedly living. He also reported that five children were killed in the attack.
