At least 23 reportedly dead from missile strike on Kyiv warehouse during Russia’s December 29 attack

A missile strike on a warehouse in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district during Russia’s December 29 attack killed at least 23 people, according to the latest information from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. Rescue operations at the site are ongoing.

Kyiv City Military Administration Head Serhiy Popko said that the bodies of five victims were pulled from the rubble Sunday morning.

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that warehouses in the Shevchenkivskyi district were hit in the attack and that people might be under the rubble.

On December 29, Russian forces launched one of the most extensive attacks on Ukraine, using more than 150 missiles and drones. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, and Zaporizhzhia were hit. According to the latest data from Ukrainian authorities, over 40 people were killed and at least 150 injured in the strikes.
