On December 27, Russia launched an overnight drone attack on Ukraine, reports Ukraine’s Air Force Command. In total, the Russian military launched 46 drones, 32 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

“Most of the drones that were not shot down attacked the front-line territories, particularly the Kherson region,” Ukraine’s Air Force added.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces Command reported that in Kherson, a shopping center, apartment buildings, and a research institution’s storage facilities were damaged as a result of the drone attacks.

In Odesa, according to the Ukrainian military, falling debris killed one person and injured three others. Odesa governor Oleh Kiper later updated the death toll in the region to two.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated that another person was killed in the Kherson region.
