Dagestan courts jail 15 for participation in anti-Semitic airport riot

Dagestan courts have jailed 15 individuals for their involvement in the anti-Semitic riot that took place at Makhachkala airport on October 29, reports TASS, citing Dagestan’s Supreme Court. Ten of the arrested were charged with participating in an unsanctioned demonstration; eight of them are to serve eight days in jail, while the remaining two have been sentenced to 60 hours of community service each, on account of their health.

Earlier, it was reported that seven riot participants were arrested and jailed for disorderly conduct.

The Russian Interior Ministry’s directorate for the North Caucasus Federal District said that 83 people were detained for taking part in the riots.
