Update: Conflict Intelligence Team founder Ruslan Leviev and Bild military analyst Julian Röpcke suggest that the strike on Kostiantynivka may have been carried out by a Ukrainian missile from territory controlled by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Leviev suggests that it was most likely a case of friendly fire, rather than an intentional attack.

At least 16 people were killed, including one child, after Russian forces attacked the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, reports Ukrainian news publication Hromadske, referencing the Donetsk regional administration. A local Radio Free Liberty/Radio Europe correspondent also confirmed the attack.

According to Hromadske, the regional administration said 31 people were injured.
