Dmytro Lunin, head of the Poltava region military administration, reports that Russian troops struck an industrial facility in the region overnight on August 28. Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, specified that the strike hit the village of Hoholeve in Myrhorod district, destroying a creamery.
According to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, three people were killed, five were injured, and one is missing.
Rescuers are removing the rubble and searching for people who may be under the wreckage, Lunin added, without elaborating on other details of the incident.
The Ukrainian Air Force Command said that on the night of August 28, Russian forces struck Ukraine with sea- and air-based missiles. Two Kalibr cruise missiles and two Kh-59s launched from airplanes were shot down, the Ukrainian military said.
In total, according to Ukrainian Air Force Command, Russian forces fired six missiles, one of which hit a civilian production facility in Poltava region.
