On the night of August 6, the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade located in the center of Donetsk caught fire as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reports the head of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” Denis Pushilin.

The Russian-appointed “mayor’” of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin claims that the Ukrainian army allegedly used cluster munitions. This claim has not been confirmed.

By the morning, the fire department had contained the fire. According to rescuers, there were no casualties.

The Voroshylovskyi, Kuibyshevskyi, and Kyivskyi districts of Donetsk were also shelled, reported Kulemzin. According to him, one woman in Kuibyshevskyi, whose birth year was given as 1937, was killed.
