Mercedes driver rams gate in front of Russian Embassy in Moldova

Chişinău police have arrested a man who crashed a Mercedes into the gate of the Russian Embassy in Moldova, the country’s Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.

According to law enforcement, the driver rammed the car into the gate in front of the diplomatic mission before fleeing the scene. Police found the vehicle heading towards the city of Străşeni. The driver ignored demands from the police to stop, ultimately crashing into two other vehicles and leading officers to forcibly stop the vehicle.

Nobody was injured, according to Moldovan police. The Russian Embassy has not commented on the incident.
