Ukraine and Croatia reach agreement on export of Ukrainian grain through Croatian ports
Kyiv and Zagreb have reached an agreement on the use of Croatian ports to export Ukrainian grain, says a press release from Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.
“We agreed on the possibility of using Croatia’s ports on the Danube and in the Adriatic sea for transporting Ukraine’s grain. Now we’ll work on establishing the most efficient routes to these ports to make the most of this opportunity,” said Foreign Minister Dymtro Kuleba.
Kuleba and Croatia’s Foreign Minister, Gordon Grlić-Radman, also discussed weapons supplies, preparations for an international conference on demining Ukraine, and the 10-point peace plan Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky announced in 2022.
Russia withdrew from the grain deal that allowed for the export of Ukrainian grain through occupied Black Sea ports on July 17.
