According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, an attack by an “enemy drone” was prevented in Moscow on the night of July 28.

“Overnight, there was an attempted attack by an enemy drone, which was shot down by Defense Ministry forces. There was no damage and no casualties,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the drone’s target was something in the Moscow region.

“This morning an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack on objects on the territory of the Moscow region by a drone has been foiled. The UAV was destroyed by air defenses. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the foiled terrorist attack,” a statement from the ministry read.

No further details have been provided by the authorities.

However, Telegram channel Shot claims that the drone was shot down in the village of Ptichnoye in the Troitsk administrative district. The Telegram channel also published photos of the drone’s wreckage.
