Annexed Crimea head says peninsula attacked by 28 drones

Overnight on July 18, nine drones were shot down by Russian air defense systems in eastern Crimea, while another 19 drones were suppressed by electronic warfare, says Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the annexed peninsula. According to Aksyonov, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported the attack. According to the ministry, air defenses destroyed 17 Ukrainian drones, while another 11 drones were dealt with by electronic warfare and crashed.
“As a result of the foiled terrorist attack, there are no casualties or destruction,” the ministry said.
What objects were targeted was not specified. The Crimean bridge is located in the east of the peninsula.
