Russian lawmakers propose displaying bombed-out NATO military vehicles in Moscow

At a plenary meeting of Russia’s State Duma on Wednesday, legislator Vladimir Isakov proposed displaying ruined NATO military equipment in Moscow to mark the anniversary of World War II’s Battle of Prokhorovka.

“Our guys are fighting heroically right now, repelling the enemy’s offensive, and the NATO beast continues to encroach, both the Leopard [tanks] and the Bradley [fighting vehicles],” Isakov said. “In my view, the right thing to do would be to ask the Defense Ministry to make an exhibition of destroyed equipment.”

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin expressed support for the idea, noting that he’s “especially interested” in installing “burnt-out equipment next to the embassies of the countries that are providing it to Ukraine.” He instructed the Duma’s Defense Committee to explore the proposal with the Defense Ministry.
