The Kremlin declined to comment on Meduza and Mediazona’s joint report on the Russian army’s losses in the full-scale war in Ukraine.
“We’ve stopped monitoring Meduza, so we don’t know what this material is about,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a press briefing.
When asked whether the Kremlin considers Meduza’s estimates to be accurate, Peskov said, “The Defense Ministry gives figures on losses and they’re the only ones who have this prerogative.”
