Air defense systems were triggered today in Russia’s Belgorod region, where several UAVs were reportedly been shot down before reaching the capital. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported the incident on his Telegram channel.
According to the governor, one of Belgorod’s rooftops was damaged during the event, but no one’s been reported injured.
Mash, a pro-Kremlin Telegram news channel, claims that nine fixed-wing drones were used to target an oil terminal and a power substation in the area. According to the outlet, six of them had been shot down. Air defense systems reportedly fired “around 15 times.”
