Russian authorities publish first video of Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu since Yevgeny Prigozhin’s revolt
The Russian Defense Ministry published a video Monday morning that purportedly shows Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu visiting a “forward command post of one of the ‘western’ grouping of troops.”
According to the ministry, Shoigu listened to a report from Colonel-General Yevgeny Nikiforov, the grouping’s commander, and held a meeting with other commanders. This is the first footage of Shoigu to be released publicly since the revolt organized by Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, who set out to “get” the defense minister this weekend.
