Russia’s Defense Ministry says Ukrainian naval drones attacked Russian ship in Black Sea

Russia’s Defense Ministry said that Ukrainian naval drones attacked the Ivan Khurs ship, a part of the Black Sea Fleet, on the morning of May 24. According to the ministry, the ship was not damaged and all three drones that carried out the attack were destroyed.

The Defense Ministry says that the attack took place at approximately 5:30 a.m. local time, 140 kilometers (around 87 miles) northeast of the Bosphorus Strait, where the Russian ship was securing the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines.

Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the Russian defense ministry’s statement.
